Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Your privacy is the foundation of Anubis Image. This policy explains what data is and is not collected when you use image.anubispdf.com (the “site”), who processes it and what choices you have. It applies to all language versions of the site.
1. Summary
- Your images are processed inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers.
- We do not have accounts, logins or a database of users.
- We use Cloudflare for hosting and cookieless analytics.
- We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies for advertising, subject to your consent where required.
2. Your images and files
When you add a picture to a tool, the file is read by your browser, processed in your device’s memory and, when you choose to download it, saved back to your device. The image data is not sent over the network, and we cannot see, store, copy or recover it. Closing the page releases the data from memory. Because processing is local, the tools continue to work even if your connection drops after the page has loaded.
The only data that leaves your device in connection with the tools is ordinary technical traffic needed to load the page and its scripts, as described below.
3. Information we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, payment details or any account information in order to use the tools. We do not use fingerprinting. We do not build user profiles. We do not sell personal data.
4. Information stored on your device
- Theme preference (light or dark), stored in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers your choice.
- Temporary hand-off of pictures: if you drop images on the home page and then choose a tool, the images are held briefly in your browser’s temporary storage so the next page can open them. They are removed immediately after use.
- Caching of site files (scripts, fonts, images) by your browser to make later visits faster.
These items stay on your device. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
5. Hosting, security and analytics (Cloudflare)
The site is delivered through Cloudflare. To serve pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses, browser type and requested URLs, in accordance with its own privacy policy. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure overall traffic (for example the number of visits and the most popular pages). This service is designed to be privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not track individuals across websites and does not fingerprint visitors.
6. Advertising (Google AdSense)
The site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads appear around the tools and in articles; they never receive your images. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to deliver, personalise and measure ads and to prevent fraud. This can include showing ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message (Google’s certified consent management platform) is displayed so that you can accept, decline or manage the use of cookies for advertising. You can change your choice later using the privacy and cookie settings link provided by that message when it is available.
You can also control advertising yourself:
- Manage ad personalisation in your Google account at adssettings.google.com.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Read about Google’s advertising technologies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Opt out of personalised advertising from participating companies at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
- Use your browser or device settings to block or delete cookies, or to limit ad tracking.
7. Cookies
The site itself does not set cookies for the tools or for analytics. Cookies may be set by Google and its partners when ads are displayed. These are third-party advertising and measurement cookies. Blocking them does not stop the tools from working, although you may then see less relevant ads.
8. Third-party code
All image-processing libraries are hosted on our own domain and run locally. The only third-party scripts that load from other domains are Google’s advertising scripts and Cloudflare’s analytics script. Links to other websites, including our sister site Anubis PDF, are governed by those sites’ own policies.
9. Legal bases and your rights
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or the UK GDPR apply, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site for technical processing, and on your consent for advertising cookies where consent is required. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent, to data portability and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because we do not collect personal data through the tools, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve; for data held by Google or Cloudflare, please use their own privacy tools.
10. California and other US state privacy laws
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money and we do not knowingly share personal information with third parties other than the advertising and infrastructure providers described above. Residents of California and certain other US states may have rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. You can opt out of personalised advertising using the links in section 6, and you can contact us to exercise any right.
11. Data retention and security
We retain no image data. Server logs and analytics held by our providers are kept for limited periods under their own policies. The site is served only over HTTPS with modern security headers to protect you while browsing.
12. International transfers
Cloudflare and Google operate globally, so technical data may be processed in countries other than your own, under safeguards set out in their policies.
13. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising shown through AdSense is subject to Google’s policies, including restrictions on personalised ads for minors.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
15. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, email support@anubispdf.com or use the contact page. You can also read our terms of use and about page.
