Three ways to resize
By pixels: type the width and height you need. Keep “Keep aspect ratio” on and the other side is calculated for you, so the picture is never stretched.
By percent: scale everything to 50%, 25% or any value from 5% to 200%. This is handy for batches of photos with different sizes.
By preset: choose from common sizes such as an Instagram square (1080×1080), portrait (1080×1350), story (1080×1920), WhatsApp profile photo (500×500), YouTube thumbnail (1280×720), Facebook cover, X header, LinkedIn banner, Full HD, or an email-friendly 1280 px width.
Fill or fit when the shape is different
Presets have a fixed shape, and your photo may not match it. Fill and crop edges covers the whole canvas and trims what does not fit (best for profile photos and covers). Fit inside with background keeps the whole picture and adds bars in a color you choose.
Resizing without losing sharpness
When you make a large photo much smaller, the tool reduces it in stages instead of one jump. This gives noticeably crisper results than a single shrink. Enlarging an image cannot add real detail, so use it for modest increases only.
If you only need a smaller file size and not different dimensions, use Compress Image. To remove unwanted edges first, try Crop Image.
Formats and limits
You can output JPG, WebP, PNG and, where your browser supports it, AVIF. Input can also be HEIC from iPhones. Each image can be up to 100 MB on computers and 30 MB on phones, and very large pictures are scaled safely if they exceed your device’s memory.
Privacy
All resizing happens locally. Nothing is uploaded, and no account is needed. See the privacy policy.
